Education for Ministry (EfM)

EfM informational meetings

Sunday, May 18 | Between the 8 a.m. & 10 a.m. services | Library

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a small group Christian formation program developed by the School of Theology at the University of the South. EfM participants learn the basics of theological education in the study of the Old and New Testaments, church history, ethics and theology. EfM encourages participants to ask “what is my personal ministry?” Two EfM study paths are available: EfM Classic (a four-year program of detailed study of scripture, church history and theology, taken one year at a time); and EfM Wide Angle (a one-year program that offers a broad introduction to EfM content). Both programs are available to students new to EfM or those who have previously participated in EfM. Our St. Michael’s EfM group meets weekly from Sept. through May here at the church. Enrollment is open now for the 2025-2026 study year. If you are interested in learning more about EfM, please attend the informational meeting, or contact Barbara Barron (barbarron@gmail.com ) or Philip Lambe (philambe@gmail.com).
