Finding God in the Ordinary: Small Groups for Fall

About the Program:

The aim of the program is to introduce Contemplative and Christian Spirituality and to explore together what helps us respond to God in ordinary life. In a series 90 minute sessions we will build friendships as we explore Christian spirituality using the book Soul Feast by Marjorie Thompson. In each gathering we will discuss a chapter from Thompson’s book and practice attentive listening and response to scripture. We will also experience silence and contemplation as uniquely powerful ways of being open to God.

Participants will be asked to commit to regular attendance, modest reading, and to follow a light but consistent, daily practice of prayer and reflection.
